So, this is the first game project that I've gotten as far as being comfortable with posting and asking for feedback.

There are still many things missing (main menu options etc).

I have no idea what to write in here if honest that isn't already covered in the description, so I think I'll just cover some technical aspects that aren't outlined in the game as yet.

Controls

  • Mouse to Steer
  • WASD for movement
  • Left Shift to Boost
  • E to interact (currently only used for Space Station Docking)
  • Left Mouse to fire weapons
  • Right Mouse to Mine Asteroids (When within range)
  • Middle Mouse, press and hold to activate Scan Menu, release to close or scan (when over a scannable object)
  • J to activate Slip Drive (Experimental Feature, currently selects a Random Asteroid, will be 'directed' in future updates)

Current Limitations/Known Issues

  • No 'Quit' key within the game (Alt+F4 to quit)
  • Currently no way to refuel the ship (In Progress)
  • Loading Screen is a bit janky
  • Main Menu - Only New Game and Quit buttons currently 'work', other buttons will switch between 'slides'
  • Inventory Listings in the Space Station UI need to be changed/amended, looks a little too cluttered at the moment.
  • Upgrade System needs more testing.
  • More sound effects to be added.

To Be Done

  • Far too much to be done to completely list at this time
  • Numerous UI tweaks.
